Yesterday marked the long-awaited launch of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the latest fighting banger from Arc System Works. As long as you’re not a PC player who’s dealing with a bunch of performance issues, Tokon seems to be going down a treat with both the FGC community and my fellow Marvel nerds. As has become a bit of a tradition with PlayStation in 2026, the launch of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has been marked with some free avatars for your PlayStation profile. Thankfully, they’re nowhere near as annoying to get as the Resident Evil avatars, although there are a few notable requirements. If You Own Marvel Tokon, You Can Get Some Free Avatars And In-Game Features Catch Me With The Tokon Spidey Avatar From Here On Out Alongside the launch of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, PlayStation released a celebratory PlayStation Plus pack that gives you access to five unique avatars (including Spider-Man, Captain America, Ghost Rider, Storm, and Doctor Doom) and a set of result screen character poses for every single hero. You can easily access the PlayStation Plus pack from the PlayStation Store but, as the name suggests, you’ll need to have PlayStation Plus to get access to it. Marvel Tokon puts a ton of emphasis on its online modes, so I don’t doubt that anyone interested will need to shell out for PS Plus, but it is a notable requirement. The PlayStation Store listing notes that you’ll require a copy of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, but I think that’s just for the in-game character poses and not the avatars. While it’s not quite as simple as the Saros avatars that were released earlier in the year and just needed you to visit the website, it’s a damn sight easier than the Resident Evil anniversary avatars. The avatars included in the lineup are all pretty great as well so, as long as you’ve got PlayStation Plus, it’s well worth jumping in and downloading.
