One of the most unique things about Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is that it's a four-versus-four fighting game, instead of the usual three-on-three that we're used to seeing from the genre. Marvel Tokon handles this four-player approach in quite a unique way as well, as you'll need to build up your full roster in battle by pulling off specific moves to bring them in. Here's what you need to know. How Assembling Your Team Works In Marvel Tokon When you first start out in a Marvel Tokon battle, you'll only have one team member by your side, with the other two being locked off until you complete certain conditions. To make the most out of the mechanics, you're going to want to try and get your other teammates with you as soon as possible. Not only does this give you more character swapping and assist options, but it also opens up some team moves that can be incredibly powerful and turn the tide of battle. Bringing the other fighters on board can be a little stressful when you first start out in Tokon, but there are some easy ways to make it happen. Wall Breaks And Wall Bounces The main way to gain a new team member in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is to perform a Wall Break or a Wall Bounce. Wall Breaks will cause the opponent to fly off-screen and into another area, while Wall Bounces just have them hit the side of the stage hard and stick to it for a second. Wall Bounces are done when there's no stage to transition to, so they're basically the same thing to consider. There are a number of moves you can pull off to easily cause a Wall Break or Wall Bounce to happen. The easiest of these is by using certain skill attacks (tied to the R2 button) while close to a wall, as most of them have a chance of hitting the enemy hard enough to send them flying. The light Link Attack and Assemble Smash are also great options, since both are pretty far-reaching. Grounded throws (Medium + Heavy) are another easy way to cause a Wall Break or Wall Bounce, as long as your opponent isn't expecting it. Using all of the above moves and abilities will very quickly get other party members to join your team and make things a lot easier on you. Just make sure that you're actually close enough to the wall to make it happen. A lot of moves do reach it easily enough, but things like skills can be more dependent. Losing A Round The only other way to gain a team member is to lose a round, which is obviously not the most efficient way of doing it. Once you've been downed, a party member will join you right at the start of the next round. This is the last resort way of building up your team, but it does give you a bit of a helping hand if you're lagging behind in a fight.
