How To Beat The Deep Down Quest In The Blood of Dawnwalker

More importantly, he's still waiting for a new Ape Escape game to release. The Blood of Dawnwalker is a new dark fantasy RPG where you play a villager turned vampire attempting to rescue his family within 30 days before they are killed. Time is the biggest enemy in this game, as you'll need to constantly manage which quests or even activities you participate in, since you have a finite amount of it. This leads to players easily missing side quests simply because there are not enough hours in the day. However, one of the earliest quests you can easily miss is Deep Down, which will reward you not only with a decent starter sword but also with some decent bracers for Coen. Deep Down Quest Walkthrough Available during the prologue, you will want to make your way southwest towards the wheat fields and speak to Gavril. He will explain that his brother has gone missing and is relying on you to find him. Keep in mind, if you turn down this quest, then his brother Lazar will almost certainly perish. You'll need to head to the peat bogs, which are located on the northwest side of the village (shown above) and are directly across from the river where you will meet your family to fish. When you arrive, you'll be prompted to look for clues, so activate your Focus Mode by holding down the left trigger and look for glowing yellow footsteps. Follow the footsteps to the different clues around the bog until you are prompted to follow the footsteps to a large cavern entrance that's guarded by wolves. These enemies are fairly easy to defeat, but have fast attacks that will give you little time to block, so play defensively until they strike. If successfully parried, you'll kick the wolf and give yourself a great opening to counterattack them. Once all the wolves are dead, approach the entrance to the cave and jump down. Keep in mind, you won't be able to get back out if you do this, so make sure you want to commit to finishing the Deep Down quest before hopping into the darkness. When you enter the cave, follow the path until you eventually reach the weeping man. This is Lazar, and he's not having a great day. Turns out, he doesn't think you're alone in the underground ruins, which will be quickly confirmed as you start hearing inhuman noises. Ignore those sounds for now and lead Lazar through the ruins until you reach a large circular room with several murals on the wall. Interacting with the murals will shed some light on the story of this location, along with informing you that the warrior's bracers are actually buried with them. Conveniently, the coffin is in the center of this room, so approach it and look for a prompt to "Loot" it. Inside, you will find Copper Sulfate, Golden Brooch, Ruby Diadem, and the Mireleaf Bracers. The bracers are the big item here, as they will give you a new vampire claw art, stamina cost reduction, and a two percent critical chance on your attacks. It also boasts 30 Armor, making it a solid early-game defense item, so make sure to equip them before progressing further into the ruins. You'll also want to ensure you have any health items like food or mending ointment. Progress a bit further through the ruins until you encounter The Forgotten Guardian. Don't let this mini-boss's appearance fool you, as they aren't that difficult to deal with. It possesses two swords, which it will use to perform fairly slow attacks that you can easily block. These moves consist of a horizontal slash, an underhand slash, and an unblockable horizontal attack you'll need to dodge. Focus on parrying the normal slash attacks, as this will provide you with a good opening to counterattack. You will also want to dodge to either the left or right during the unblockable move, as this will put you behind The Forgotten Guardian, allowing you to easily strike at her for a couple of seconds. She doesn't have any special moves or truly difficult attacks, so just rely on baiting out her unblockable move so you can easily provide yourself with an opening. Once The Forgotten Guardian is dead, you can loot her body, and you'll get the Undead Warrior's Sword for your trouble. This blade deals 61 damage, making it much better than the starting sword you got at your house. Now just make your way out of the cave with Lazar to trigger a brief dialogue exchange. You can either walk with him back to Gavril or meet the brothers at their farm later if you want to explore a bit more. Upon speaking with Gavril again, you will complete the Deep Down quest, which will net you 50 Denarius and 250 XP.
