Before all that, he was earning a degree in Film and Television Studies at Leeds Trinity University. This is why he has been able to write hundreds of video game guides since 2019, along with numerous gaming lists. For each guide, he conducts extensive playtesting to ensure accuracy and that all relevant information is included. One of the most substantial additions that Palworld's 1.0 update added to the title was The World Tree. It's an endgame area, featuring some of the most high-level enemies in the game, along with several unique resources that you can't get anywhere else. Before the update, you could see the tree in the distance, but you couldn't enter it. Now you have the power to do so. However, you first need to find and capture a creature called Panthalus. This is how to do that and reach the tree. Meet The Ancient Civilization Researcher To start the quest that leads you to The World Tree, you need to talk with the Ancient Civilization Researcher. They're located at the Deserted Islet (coordinates: -172, 33). It's a small island, so it's easier to get there if you use a flying or swimming mount. Find The Giant Remains Once you've spoken with the researcher, you will need to locate the four bits of giant remains that are at different parts of the map. They're very far from one another, so you will need to do plenty of traveling. Here are their locations: Marine Echobone Coordinates: 124, -525 To the West of the starting area, you can find the remains of a creature in the water. Get to the top of it to find the Marine Echobone on the tip of the skull. Seafoam Echobone Coordinates: -514, -549 The Seafoam Echobone is in the Volcanic area on the Western side of the map. You can find it under the skull of a dead creature. Tidewind Echobone Coordinates: -262, 485 Up in the snowy area in the Northern part of the map, you can find the Tidewind Echobone sitting on the bones of a dead creature, near the Land of Absolute Zero fast travel point. Silent Echobone Coordinates: 356, -110 The Silent Echobone is on the Eastern side of the map. It's next to where the Jormuntide boss is swimming around. You can find it in the water, atop some bones. It'll be tricky to swim out there, so it's best to use a flying or swimming mount. Make The Echoing Flute With all the Echobones in your possession, you now need to make the Echoing Flute. You don't need anything fancy to do it, as the item can be built on a Primitive Workbench, and the Echobones are the only materials required. Prepare To Battle Panthalus Before actually reaching Panthalus, you first may need to prepare, as this is a tough fight. For starters, you shouldn't really be attempting this battle unless you're at least level 70, and the same goes for your Pals. Speaking of Pals, you want to bring some flying mounts, water mounts, and electric Pals. You need flying and swimming ones for the extra maneuverability they give you on water, as there is a lot of water in the area. The electric Pals are useful because they're extra effective against the water-based Panthalus. The best Pal to bring is the Beakon. It's a flying mount that uses electric attacks and also electrifies your attacks. You also need a ranged weapon of some kind because it's hard to get in close to Panthalus. Take lots of ammo, too, because the creature doesn't go down easy. Plus, make sure you have the best shield, armor, and accessories that you can possibly craft. How To Find Panthalus Once you've done your preparations and made the Echoing Flute, you can now face Panthalus. Return to the Ancient Civilization Researcher at the Deserted Islet and talk to them. Afterward, interact with the Shrine next to the researcher to begin the boss battle with Panthalus. How To Beat Panthalus The battle against Panthalus is very chaotic and difficult. The arena consists of one small island and water all around you. This is why you need the flying and/or water mounts, because swimming is very slow. Another thing to note straight away is that you only have 10 minutes for the fight. Panthalus's Attacks The boss has a ridiculous number of water-based attacks. He fires balls, tornadoes, waves, whirlpools, and more at you. For almost all of his attacks, you just need to get out of the way. So, if something is coming at you, dodge or fly in another direction. If there is something coming up from the ground, jump or fly out of the way. The only attack where you need to do something unique is his massive wave move. When he's doing this, he will be in the air, and the camera will zoom out a bit. When this happens, look for what the game calls a Wind Turbulence, which is a circular column of wind that you must quickly get inside of and then jump to fly over the wave. Getting hit by this wave almost guarantees death. How To Hurt Panthalus Because of the 10-minute time limit, you must be aggressive in this fight and take it to the boss. For most of the battle, the creature will be out above the water, flying around. So, you need to use your ranged weapon to deal damage from afar or use your mount's abilities. The big blue crystal on its head is its main weak point. Plus, the top of his back is a weak point, too. If you do enough big damage to him in a short period of time, he will drop down temporarily, giving you more time to strike. Occasionally, he will hover over the island. This gives you a chance to hit him with a melee weapon to save ammo. Sometimes, a wind column will appear below the creature when it's high in the sky. Use that to get up to it and attack. How To Capture Panthalus Once you've depleted the boss's health, the game will then prompt you to capture it. This is a guaranteed capture, so only throw a regular Pal Sphere; don't waste a better one. When it's captured, the battle is over, and you're back by the researcher, who you need to inform about what happened. How To Enter The World Tree The World Tree is all the way at the top of the map. So, you have to fly all the way there. You don't need the Panthalus in your party to enter The World Tree, but you need to have captured him. Once you get there, you notice a big, fancy wall. In front of it, you can find a circular platform containing an altar. Interact with it to enter The World Tree.
