One nice thing about creature collector games, including Aniimo, is that they let you play the game as casually or as hardcore as you want. For example, you can just catch one of each Aniimo, finish the story, and be done with it. However, if you're a bit more hardcore, you can keep catching the same Aniimo until you get the perfect one with the perfect stats, and then work on perfecting it even more. As you can probably guess, this is a long and tedious process, not for the faint of heart, but if you're determined, we got your back. We'll explain how stats work in Aniimo. So, let's talk numbers. Every Stat Explained Let's start from the basics: What is each stat, and what does it do? Each Aniimo has the following six stats: HP (Hit Points) — The total amount of health. If this hits zero, your Aniimo gets knocked out. ATK (Attack) — The power of your regular hits. The higher this is, the more damage your regular attacks will do. P.DEF (Physical Defense) — Your Aniimo's resistance against physical attacks (ATK). The higher this is, the less your HP depletes from regular attacks. REGEN (Energy Recovery) — Represents how fast your Energy for abilities recharges. This is not your HP regeneration. The higher this is, the less you'll have to wait to use your stronger abilities. M. DEF (Magical Defense) — Your Aniimo's resistance to magic (elemental) attacks. The higher this is, the less damage you take from (mostly, ranged) Magical attacks that use an element. BREAK (Stamina Attack) — The power of your abilities that target your opponent's stamina (the white bar under the HP). The higher this is, the more damage you'll do to the opponent's stamina (not HP). How To Increase Aniimo Stats So, now that you know what each stat does, here are all the methods for how you can increase said stats. Level up your Aniimo — Simply fight with them, capture other Aniimo while you have them equipped, do quests, find chests, or simply feed them Growth Buds, Growth Flowers, and Growth Fruits to increase their level. Star Up your Aniimo — You will unlock this mechanic shortly after your first Rank Up. The more you Star-Up your Aniimo, the more their Stats increase and the more points you can invest in their Awakening (more about this below). You can Star-Up an Aniimo using things like Breeze Plains Dewdrop Crystals, and the correct evolution materials, but know that the more you do this, the more rare items you'll need. Held Items — Simply equip an Aniimo with an item and their stats will increase. Don't forget, you can upgrade the Held items to make them more effective. Innate Potential Up to this point, we talked about raw stats, which are nice, but what REALLY determines how strong an Aniimo is are its Innate Potential (points). Innate Potential points determine how much the raw stats increase. Best of all, these help you determine how much room for growth an Aniimo has even before you start leveling it up. Your Aniimo's rarity is also determined by how many Innate Potential points they have. Allow us to explain this briefly. Common Aniimo — Have nothing special about their Innate Potential points. Just release these or keep them as Homeland workers. Good Aniimo — Have two or more Stats with at least four Innate Potential points. Honestly, just release these too, as they aren't really worth investing into. Elite Aniimo — These Aniimo have two stats with at least six Innate Potential points. You may want to use these in battle but only until you get your hands on a Perfect Aniimo. Perfect Aniimo — Perfect Aniimo have two stats with at least eight Innate Potential points. These should be your go-to Aniimo for battles. The highest an Innate Potential can get to is ten (without Awakening), so ideally, you're looking for a Perfect Aniimo with two Innate Potentials at nine. Capafruit A Capafruit will raise every single Innate Potential of a single Aniimo by one. These increased Innate Potential points are often called Acquired Potential (points). Each Aniimo can only even consume a single Capafruit. As you can imagine, Capafruits are rare, and shouldn't be used on a weak Aniimo. In fact, we'd go as far to say that you shouldn't use a Capafruit on any Aniimo that isn't a Perfect (maybe don't even use them unless your Perfect Aniimo has two Innate Potentials at nine). Awakening You unlock the ability to Awaken your Aniimo when you increase your level cap to 45. By Awakening your Aniimo, you can use special items called Star Dust, Star Sand, and Sta Essence to increase their Acquired Potential points. Through Awakening, you can increase an Aniimo's total Potential points by up to 20, not including Capafruit points and not including any additional points you may come across. You can only increase the Innate Potential of an Aniimo by a certain amount depending on how much you Star-Upped that Aniimo. So, in short, through Awakening, you can potentially get an Aniimo to have all Innate Potentials to 20, but through other means (like the Capafruit, Held Items, Special events, etc.), you can go beyond 20 and get some really powerful beings.
