Tickets for the 2027 festival will cost £408 including a £5 booking fee, marking the first time general admission has broken the £400 barrier. That is a £29.50 increase from 2025, when tickets cost £378.50, and unsurprisingly the latest price hike has already sparked plenty of debate. Some fans have branded the cost ‘ridiculous’ and a ‘complete scam’, while others argue that five days at one of the biggest music festivals in the world still represents surprisingly good value compared with the soaring cost of individual concerts. It’s the festival’s highest price ever and represents an increase of almost 8% from the £378.50 charged for the 2025 edition. Fans have been particularly struck by just how dramatically prices have changed over the decades, with one pointing out on X that a ticket cost just £87 in 2000. I think £408 is fair for five days of massive acts,’ one person argued. Another called it an ‘absolute bargain’ given the sheer number of performances and other attractions included over the five days. For one prospective festival-goer, however, there was only one way to justify the bill: ‘Oasis better be playing for that ticket price.’ Despite the price, demand is unlikely to be lacking when the annual ticket bloodbath begins. There were also surprise performances from Pulp, Skepta and Haim. So while £408 may initially produce a fairly violent reaction from your bank balance, plenty of Glastonbury devotees are already arguing that when compared with paying upwards of £100 to see a single major artist, five days at Worthy Farm still stacks up.
