Published Sep 3, 2026, 9:35 AM EDT How many days do you need to beat Dawnwalker? Image: Rebel Wolves/Bandai Namco Entertainment For most players, The Blood of Dawnwalker will be a long game and will take a long time to beat. However, it can also be extremely short. The length of a single playthrough varies greatly depending on the player's difficulty level, decisions, and play style. If you play on story mode with the sole aim of beating Brencis as soon as possible, a few hours may suffice. If you'd like to drag things out, you certainly won't be done within the first dozen hours. Without disclosing major spoilers, here's how long it takes to reach The Blood of Dawnwalker's ending, and how to shorten or prolong your adventure in Vale Sangora. How long to beat The Blood of Dawnwalker As you may already know, The Blood of Dawnwalker doesn't make you follow a main quest line. Instead, the protagonist, Coen, chases a main goal; to rescue his family, who are taken captive by the Vrakhir Brencis and held in Greifberg Castle. After completing the prologue, you're free to challenge Brencis any time. Mind you, if you're playing on a regular difficulty level ("fair" or "challenging"), it's highly unlikely to beat Brencis within a few hours. Even if you're playing on story mode, you probably need to spend at least a few in-game days questing and gearing up before you can take him on. Keep in mind that it's not just a matter of upgrading Coen's abilities; questing may also weaken Brencis' court, unlock powerful allies, reward useful gear, and uncover shortcuts. So, even if you're in a mad rush, you should still count on five to 10 hours. If you've chosen a normal difficulty level and play at a relaxed pace, taking ample time for exploration, skill upgrades, and questing, you should be strong enough to fight through Greifberg Castle after about 30 hours of playtime. This means you'll reach an ending around day 20. If you've chosen a relatively high difficulty level, you probably need the full 30 days to boost Coen's battle prowess as much as possible. Of course, if you like to exhaust the full 30 days no matter Coen's strength (and complete as many activities and quests as you can), you'll spend a similar amount of time on your Dawnwalker playthrough. In this case, especially if you also like to explore the map, you're looking at 50 hours or more. Although The Blood of Dawnwalker's prologue should normally take about three hours to complete, provided you've explored the area and used every time segment for questing, it's possible to skip time until Blood Mass, which significantly shortens the prologue's duration. You can shave off a few hours that way, though it's probably not the most fun way to start Coen's adventure.
