We may not be getting a new Marvel vs. Capcom game any time soon, but at least Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is here to fill that void with its genre-pushing four-versus-four tag battles. As you might expect from an Arc System Works game, Marvel Tokon has a lot of content on offer, whether you're just interested in single-player battles or going all out online. Let's dive into it. How Long To Beat The Story Mode The main event of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is its story mode (or Episode mode, if you want to be specific), which is made up of five different campaigns. Each story focuses on one of the game's preset teams and is made up of comic book cutscenes and a bunch of fights in between. Each campaign has around 10 chapters, but these go by pretty quickly since there's usually just one or two fights in between all of the cutscenes. In total, the campaigns take around an hour or so each to beat, which means you can clear all of Marvel Tokon's story mode in around five to six hours, depending on your skill level. How Long To Beat The Other Single-Player Modes That's just the start of what Marvel Tokon has on offer for single-players, though. Marvel Tokon's Arcade mode has a few standout options with plenty of their own content. First up is Arcadia Rumble, a unique mode that has you running around as a chibi character and competing for stars. It's honestly not that compelling and doesn't add much beyond an hour or so if you want to do all three difficulty levels. What is more compelling is All-Star Arena, which has the titular Arena mode and Survival. Arena lets you pick between five different courses and four difficulty options, with each having its own unique battle conditions. Completing all of these can take a long time, so expect a good three to four hours added on if you go for it. You'll need to be very skilled to complete the Champion level difficulty options for each course, so good luck. Survival is exactly what it says on the tin, as it sees you fighting as many enemies as you can and levelling up your characters. This can go on for a seemingly endless amount of time, but you'll at least want to play for a few hours to reach Level 100 and unlock the character colour associated with it. The final part of Marvel Tokon's single-player offerings is the Tutorial, which includes lengthy Character Lessons and combo trials. Each character has 10 combo trials for you to take on, and I probably don't need to tell you that some of these get incredibly difficult. Again, going through all 200 of these is going to take at least five hours, if you're even able to get them all done at all. In all, you're looking at well over 20 hours of single-player content in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. How Long To Get The Platinum Outside of online's ranked and casual modes which offer endless amounts of playtime, the final thing to consider with Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is its Platinum trophy. As you can probably tell, there's a lot of content on offer here and, while the Platinum isn't especially difficult, you'll need to do quite a lot. Marvel Tokon's Platinum trophy requires you to complete at least half of the Combo trials, finish 500 online battles, clear the brutal Champion course in All-Star Arena, beat every story mode episode, and pull off a bunch of the game's mechanics. It's not too bad, but doing all of that is naturally going to take some time and skill. Marvel Tokon's Platinum is likely to take you over 30 hours depending on your skill level.
