After being announced more than four years ago, it’s fair to say that Marvel’s Wolverine is one of the most anticipated PlayStation games in some time, and definitely in the PS5's lifetime. Despite coming from Spider-Man developer Insomniac, Wolverine is a much more linear and straightforward game, but that doesn't make it short by any means. Here’s how long you can expect it to take. How Long The Main Story Is Marvel Wolverine’s main campaign is split into 30 chapters, which take Logan all around the world as he tries to recover his lost memories. Outside of a few more open locations, most of the chapters in the game are fairly linear and have a specific path to follow that’s filled with setpieces, character-driven moments, and a ton of combat. If you’re not interested in side content and just want to see the story through to the end, then you’re looking at around 12 to 15 hours to beat Marvel's Wolverine, depending on your skill level and difficulty. As I said, it’s a lot more linear than something like Marvel’s Spider-Man, and there’s a laser focus on the overall story that doesn’t waste much time. How Long To 100 Percent The Game Just because Marvel’s Wolverine is more linear doesn’t mean there’s not more to see and do in the main campaign. Each chapter has its own set of collectibles to find, including whisky bottles, material crates to unlock suits, and Nightmare Doors with special challenges to beat to earn different ratings. Completing all of the Nightmare Doors is important for the story, as it unlocks an epilogue with plenty of story details. Almost all of these collectibles are pretty easy to find, as Logan’s senses mean that he’ll highlight and comment on most of them. They’re not too hidden away, either, so you won’t end up spending too much time trying to track them down, especially if you pay attention to Logan’s senses. If you’re keeping an eye out for these collectibles as you go through the main campaign, it’s pretty easy to 100 percent Wolverine on your first playthrough. It ended up taking me around 20 hours in total to find and beat everything in the game on Normal difficulty, which I mostly did without needing to replay any chapters. Marvel’s Wolverine also has a New Game Plus mode, which lets you restart the story with all of your moves, suits, and more unlocked. How Long To Platinum 100 percent clearing Marvel’s Wolverine doesn’t automatically earn you the Platinum, as there are a few trophies tied to specific challenges that you’ll need to take the time to make sure you’ve completed. A lot of those trophies are tied to using specific abilities a certain number of times, including parries, Helix Claws, stealth takedowns, special moves, and more. A lot of these moves are standard ones that you’ll end up naturally using throughout the course of Marvel’s Wolverine, but there are some that you might need to grind out on a replay or while tracking down some of the game’s more hidden Nightmare Doors. Worry not, though, none of it is particularly challenging to do. If you’re aiming to get the Platinum trophy in Marvel’s Wolverine, you’re looking at around 22 hours or more, depending on how much side content you ended up doing during your initial playthrough. A lot of it can be simply cleaned up after your first playthrough by replaying missions. Like with Marvel’s Spider-Man and many other PlayStation exclusives, Wolverine is a pretty easy Platinum to aim for, and one that is mostly done just by playing the game through, finding all of the collectibles, and using moves a certain amount of times.
