How Long Does It Take To Beat Hellraiser: Revival

More importantly, he's still waiting for a new Ape Escape game to release. Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival is finally here, so break out the chains, don some leather trench coats, and get ready for a gruesome time. This story follows ex-biker Aiden Lynch, who is tasked with fighting through a deranged cult to save his girlfriend from the Cenobites. A first-person action survival horror game, Hellraiser: Revival will have you both running for your life and blasting through enemies with a collection of different weapons. Boasting no multiplayer and costing $39.99, one might wonder how long it will take to see the credits roll. So if you're on the fence or just want to know if there's anything extra, here is how long it takes to beat Hellraiser: Revival. How Long Does It Take To Beat? During a playthrough on normal difficulty, solely with the goal of reaching the end, you're looking at roughly a 15-hour journey to see the credits roll. This, of course, will change depending on your skill level, but Hellraiser: Revival isn't a terribly lengthy game, and it's entirely linear. That being said, there are numerous side puzzles and lore-focused collectibles you can hunt down if you are looking to obtain everything. In my playthrough, where I tried to unlock every upgrade, weapon, and unlock all the safes, it took me a little under 20 hours to do everything else. Hellraiser: Revival also has no real replayability outside of an additional difficulty setting. There's no New Game Plus or additional modes once you've beaten the game. Meaning, for most people, your first playthrough will likely be your only one. As for Extras, there is a lengthy art book and a full 300-page novella to read, but it's only available to digital deluxe owners. The game's story also features no choices or alternate scenarios outside of a single moment at the very end. Nothing you do prior to this moment changes what happens, so don't expect to see anything new upon repeat playthroughs. This game is a very "what you see is what you get" type of experience. So if you're not big into action horror games or the Hellraiser franchise, the experience might be considered short for you. How Long Does It Take To 100%? If you're looking to do everything the game has to offer, which includes beating it on the hardest difficulty, getting all the achievements, and collectibles, you're looking at roughly a 30–35 hour experience. Pretty much every single one of the 69 achievements can be completed in a single playthrough, as none of them ask you to either complete the game within a specific time limit or on the secret difficulty that is unlocked after beating the game. Most of the achievements themselves are fairly easy, but there are quite a few that may take a few attempts, as they require you to perform specific feats in combat. This could be anything from killing three enemies with a single telekinetically thrown object or sneaking through a location without being detected. If you're a trophy hunter, there is a decent amount of content here to challenge you. As for collectibles, the only actual ones to obtain are lore pages and voice recordings. There's no achievement or reward tied to getting them all, so this is strictly for completionists or those who want to learn all they can about the world. Hellraiser: Revival also has no additional side objectives or big secrets you can unveil. Almost all of the small side puzzles are solely tied to the Labyrinth sections of the game and don't take too long to solve. Ultimately, this game really just comes down to if you want to play through the story or not, as there isn't just a ton of additional meat to sink your teeth into.
