"I learned how to step back into my purpose," she told People in September, "and I got the greatest gift from this tour: I got to meet the love of my life." You might even say the California gurl found her true north. When Perry embarked on the Canadian leg of her Lifetimes Tour in July 2025, she received the warmest welcome when she got to Montreal, where she had dinner with the country's former prime minister Justin Trudeau. And while they didn't immediately run away and not ever look back, two months later they were kissing on a yacht off the shore of Santa Barbara. Because while the Ottawa native may not be from a different dimension, he isn't like the others.And after they met, Perry recalled, "things shifted." "I always wanted this epic legendary love, and I was talking to my therapist about it," the 42-year-old explained. The English actor, who said on TODAY last year that there was "nothing but love" between him and Perry, is now dating Swiss model Luisa Laemmel. Plus, he has a history of maintaining strong bonds with the mothers of his children. For instance, after Bloom and Perry had shifted into co-parenting mode, they enjoyed a family outing with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr last September, even capturing the moment with a picture. "Katy sent me the photo of Orlando and his two exes on the side, me and Katy," Kerr, mom to 15-year-old son Flynn with Bloom, relayed days later on The Kyle and Jackie O Show. "We all had such a big smile on our faces. They made their red carpet debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in June at the premiere of her concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour—Live From Paris. "It’s super-healing." He also understands what it's like to have an all-consuming career and the toll it can take on relationships when couples have to spend too much time apart. "Everyone knows how challenging it is to balance family responsibilities with a job that takes me across the country and working extremely hard," Trudeau told CBC News in October 2014, a year before he became Canada's prime minister.
