Yemen’s Houthis say they carried out Saturday’s missile attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid Airport, which killed 12 people and wounded about 300, some critically. Military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group launched several operations against the airport, “resulting in the disruption of air traffic at the airport and its complete closure”. He also named King Fahd Airport in Dammam, an Aramco-affiliated petrol station and a refinery in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region as targets. The Riyadh strike caused the highest death toll from an attack on a Gulf country since the US-Israeli war on Iran began on 28 February. King Khalid Airport remained closed on Sunday.
