The Houthi group has claimed a series of attacks on sites belonging to Saudi energy giant Aramco in Riyadh and the Khurais area in the east of the kingdom. The Houthi military's spokesman Yahya Saree said in a statement on X that fighters had targeted the sites with ballistic missiles and drones, and that "both operations successfully achieved their objectives". “The strikes were precise causing large fires at the targeted sites," Saree added, saying that the attacks came in response to Saudi strikes on Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, warning of further attacks on Saudi military and energy sites. “[The] enemy continues its unjust aggression against our people by launching more aggressive air strikes, which during the past 12 hours amounted to 50 air strikes and missiles targeting the capital, Sanaa, and the governorates of al-Jawf, Taiz, Amran, Hajjah, and Sadah,” said Saree.
