Hotel and restaurant owner, 78, and sister plead not guilty to murdering their 100-year-old mum

Mogford is known for founding various independent hotels and restaurants in Oxford. His portfolio includes the Old Bank Hotel and Old Parsonage Hotel, Quod Restaurant, Parsonage Grill and Gee’s Restaurant. The hotelier also founded the restaurant chain Browns, which he sold in 1996 for a reported £35million. He and Pickering were charged last year in connection with Pamela’s death. The mum was discovered on February 15, 2022 in Bledlow Ridge, Buckinghamshire. Pamela wed war hero Maj Peter Mogford in 1946 when he was decommissioned from the Army after service at Dunkirk and in North Africa, Cyprus, Italy and India.
