Hospital emergency for Tracy in Coronation Street as evil rapist Ross spikes her – and shock exit follows

Cassie Plummer’s (Claire Sweeney) plan to get rid of Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield) ended with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) falling unwell in Coronation Street today. Ross’ arrival was a shock to Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his family, but they’ve enjoyed getting to know him nonetheless. The newcomer is full of charm, and Cassie is the only one who can see it’s all an act. During Ross’ birthday meal, Cassie lost her cool, unable to stand watching her loved ones celebrate someone so awful. This led to Cassie telling Tyrone about how she met Ross. Tyrone was horrified and immediately confronted his dad. Unfortunately, Ross managed to manipulate Ty into thinking that he was a changed man, and that he deeply regrets what happened in the past. Outside, Cassie was faced with a furious Ross, who pinned her against the wall and said that he’d kill her if she came between him and Tyrone again. Determined to get rid of Ross for the sake of her family, an idea formed for Cassie in today’s episode of the ITV soap when she discovered that Ross needed to take a drugs test for his new job. She managed to crush up some of Tyrone’s painkillers and hide them in Ross’ drink. Sadly, Cassie wasn’t as efficient as she thought, as Ross managed to work out what she was doing. Moments later, Tracy collapsed in front of her daughter. She was rushed into an ambulance and taken to hospital, while a shocked Cassie watched on.
