AN ambulance raced onto the pitch after a player received a sickening knee to the face. Ronal Domínguez, 34, was rushed to hospital after suffering a broken nose during a game on Saturday. Several fans have come out to defend goalkeeper Marsengo on social media following the horror injury. One fan said: “That’s how goalkeepers have to come out – to assert themselves in the area.” Another shared: “went for the ball.” But some fans are not convinced by Marsengo’s technique. Domínguez has made five appearances for Recoleta in the Paraguayan Primera División this season. He has recorded one assist as his side sit ninth in the league standings after seven games. The midfielder arrived at the club in mid-2025 after a spell with current league leaders 2 de Mayo. Recoleta went on to salvage a stoppage time goal in their 2-1 defeat against Olimpia.
