Horror footage shows passengers gasp for breath after ‘aircon failure’ turns plane into furnace during SEVEN HOUR delay

OVER 100 passengers on board a plane in New Delhi were left gasping for breath after the air-con failed. Children began to cry. “A pregnant woman started feeling breathless and was about to faint. We raised the alarm that she would die if she was not attended to immediately.” He said the flight was scheduled to depart from New Delhi at 9.55pm on Tuesday but was delayed until 10.30pm. As passengers entered the aircraft, they noticed the air-con was not working – but assumed it would take some time to start. One person could be heard shouting in Hindi: “Tell them to open the gate! Otherwise I’ll break it down.” Tensions skyrocketed when a few even attempted to open the jet’s main door themselves. Eventually, their demands were met and they were allowed to deboard. Another flight was arranged, which departed at around 5.30am the day after – more than seven hours after it was initially scheduled. A SpiceJet spokesperson said: “On August 11, 2026, SpiceJet flight SG 105, scheduled to operate from Delhi to Pune, encountered a last-minute technical issue. “An alternate aircraft was arranged, and the flight subsequently operated to Pune. “SpiceJet deeply regrets the inconvenience caused to the passengers.” This comes just weeks after another incident, this time on board an Emirates flight from Dubai, UAE, to Shanghai, China, during which 373 passengers were left trapped on the tarmac without air conditioning for 10 hours.
