Horror as car stolen with toddler still inside in UK city with cops hunting down thief

NewsUK News A CAR with a two-year-old child inside has been stolen before later being abandoned and recovered, as cops hunt down the thief. The grey Volvo was nicked from Long Thorpe Lane in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, at around 8.30pm on Wednesday. Police found the vehicle near Woodlesford Lock in Leeds within 15 minutes of the reported theft. The young child was found in the car and looked after by responding officers. The keys to the motor were left in the ignition by the suspect when they abandoned it. West Yorkshire Police said no arrests have been made and enquiries into the horrifying incident remain ongoing. The force added: “Officers received reports of a stolen car at around 8.30pm last night (5 August). “The car was stolen from Long Thorpe Lane, Wakefield, and a child was in the car.
