Kamal Haasan praised Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic The Odyssey as a film that "belongs to the ages", saying, "Homer dreamt it" and "Nolan dared it." In a note shared on Nolan's 56th birthday, Haasan also revealed that his own "ode" to the film will soon be released in Indian theatres, adding that even the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has already approved its first preview.Sharing a note on Instagram, Haasan wrote, "Homer dreamt it. Nolan dared it. I applauded it. Children of cinema, this film belongs to the ages. Must watch! (sic)."He followed it up by teasing Indian audiences about a special tribute to the film. "As #TheOdyssey continues its epic voyage across the world, my ode will greet audiences in theatres in India. I'll share it here soon (sic)," he wrote.In a playful postscript, the actor added, "P.S. The CBFC got the first preview! It approved," hinting that the tribute has already received certification. Based on Homer's ancient Greek epic, The Odyssey marks Nolan's first large-scale adaptation of a mythological story. The film chronicles the legendary journey of Odysseus as he attempts to return home after the Trojan War.Mounted on a massive scale, the project was filmed across multiple international locations using advanced IMAX technology. Nolan has written, directed and produced the film alongside Emma Thomas, with Universal Pictures backing the project. The film received glorious reviews and earned over USD 729.9 million as of now.
