Holly Willoughby hits ‘new low’ in bid for YouTube viewers – as X-rated porn chat follows puerile sausage gags & F-bombs

FROM saucy jokes about sausages and discussing sex marathons with a porn star, Holly Willoughby’s unfiltered return is a world away from This Morning. Since launching her YouTube show Together four weeks ago, it is clear the presenter has ditched her squeaky-clean ITV persona in favour of provocative content that will, hopefully, attract viewers. Further X-rated antics followed including games of “Sh*g, Marry, Kill” with her famous guests and revealing that she would strip “anywhere” and once accidentally flashed her boob while filming a children’s TV show. That, however, was nothing compared to the controversy that followed her eighth episode, which saw Holly quiz adult content creator Lily Phillips, who has claimed to have slept with 1,113 men in 12 hours. In their one-hour chat, released on Friday, Holly fired questions at the OnlyFans star, which touched on everything from Lily’s sex drive, to the intimate details of her viral stunts involving hundreds of men. (Spoiler alert: They are painful.) And when the topic turned to Lily’s “designer vagina” — an operation she had aged 19 — Holly took the opportunity to give her own verdict on X-rated content, declaring: “My big issue with porn is where I just go, ‘Please just show normal fannies’.” The episode sparked a massive backlash from viewers outraged that Lily — who went viral in 2024 for the documentary I Slept With 100 Men In One Day, chronicling one of her first controversial stunts — had been given a platform again. One remarked: “There are so many people you could have chosen. It’s so disappointing and disgusting you would choose to advertise and promote her.” Another questioned: “I wonder if Holly would be happy for her daughter to see this interview splashed all over social media? This is exactly why my girls are not allowed social media.” Holly quizzed adult content creator Lily Phillips, who has claimed to have slept with 1,113 men in 12 hours, in a one-hour chat Credit: YouTube/@Holly Willoughby Together Fans were horrified that Lily Phillips was given a platform on the show Credit: Getty A third viewer added: “How has it come to this, Holly? A new low.” One TV insider told The Sun: “Like any new YouTuber, Holly is trying lots of different things to see what lands and what doesn’t. “She gets she has to make content for the YouTube generation and if that means getting down and dirty and interviewing a porn star then so be it. “The new Holly might be raising eyebrows, but it’s all a learning curve and she’s enjoying the challenge.” Enjoy the challenge she might, but Holly’s Together has yet to crack the YouTube market despite recent guest appearances from celebrity pals including singers Nicole Appleton and Emma Bunton. Her first episode saw viewing figures peak at 86,000 views, thanks to an appearance from Hollywood actor Stanley Tucci. But her second outing, featuring comic Katherine Ryan, was watched by 50,000 viewers. In the days before her chat with Lily, a 24-minute episode with Holly making her mum’s chicken Caesar salad was viewed just 8,000 times. Perhaps unsurprisingly given its controversial nature, Holly’s episode featuring Lily succeeded in boosting her ratings — 56,000 views so far — but she is still a long way off breaking the 100,000 mark. The content has been unfavourably compared to the Duchess of Sussex’s series With Love, Meghan — although of course with more smut and far fewer viewers. Series one of Meghan’s Netflix lifestyle show got about 2.6million views in its first week. Meanwhile, apparently undeterred, Holly has been ploughing ahead with episodes packed full of swearing and sexual innuendoes. None more so than in the fifth episode when she spent 30 minutes making a classic toad in the hole. After preparing the sausage meat, Holly sniggered as she told the camera crew that the next step of the recipe required using oil to “lubricate” the meat grinder’s stuffing nozzle. Removing her wedding ring to avoid it getting mucky, she joked that it felt like she was cheating on her husband, TV producer Dan Baldwin. And when the episode was uploaded to YouTube, each chapter was given a suggestive heading including “Holly gets grinding,” “Holly lubricates the nozzle” and “To prick or not to prick”. One viewer commented: “I feel like I’m on OnlyFans watching this.”Speaking out about the response to her series earlier this month, Holly insisted she is receptive to feedback. In a video post, she told followers: “Thanks for all your feedback as well, because it’s really great hearing what you think, and what you like, and what you don’t like, because that’s equally as important as well. So, keep it coming.” Insiders claim Holly and Dan, whose TV company Hungry Bear produced Together, can afford to be relaxed about ratings as it has still been a huge money-spinner. It is thought Together’s sponsorship partnership with health firm Voy has netted the couple £5million. In the launch episode, Holly gushed over its backers, describing Voy’s healthcare as “truly effective” before then directing viewers to its website. She went on to add that Voy felt like a “natural founding partner” for her, because of its work across weight loss, menopause, hormones, hair loss and preventative health. But the partnership prompted surprise from marketing experts. Marketing expert Alex Williams told The Sun it was “incredible” someone of Holly’s profile would promote a company that had repeatedly breached advertising rules — warning the association could “weaken her personal brand”. There is no suggestion that Holly or Voy have breached any rules on Together. Holly will likely be hoping to avoid much more controversy following her turbulent departure from This Morning in 2023. It came five months after her co-star, and once-close friend Phillip Schofield, quit the show amid revelations of an affair with a younger colleague. Holly stepped down after police uncovered a plot to kidnap her, which ended with Gavin Plumb being jailed for life with a 16-year minimum term. Sources say Holly has other irons in the fire, including a secret chat show pilot with Disney+. While her sit-down with Lily is unlikely to have been the catalyst for it, the episode certainly showcased a very different side to her interview skills. An insider said: “The pilot called The Holding Space with Holly Willoughby will see her interviewing a host of high-profile women. “The whole premise of the show is empowerment and authenticity, with Holly leading the conversation.” However, the insider added that there are no plans for Holly to abandon Together in favour of a shinier model on the streaming channel. Her YouTube series had initially been tipped for a four-week run and the team are hoping for an influx of viewers after the school holidays. They should brace themselves for an edgier, more expletive-ridden version of Holly, though.
