Hilton’s New Fall Promo Delivers Just $4 Per Stay—While A Week At A Resort Gets You At Most $12

Hilton is out with their new fall bonus points promotion, and the basic offer is worth about $4 per stay. Spend a week at a qualifying luxury hotel or resort and they’ll give you about $12. They call this More Points to Play. There aren’t very many more points to play with. I thought their summer promotion was weak. That started at 2,000 bonus points per stay. This one starts at half as much. Stay October 15 – December 31, 2026. You need to check out by December 31. Earn 1,000 bonus points per stay at participating properties generally. Earn 3,000 bonus points total per stay at selected luxury, lifestyle, resort and all-inclusive properties. That’s 3,000 instead of 1,000, not an additional 3,000. Register before your first eligible stay. Existing reservations qualify, and there’s no limit to the bonuses you can earn. Book directly with Hilton. Eligible award stays count, too. The higher bonus isn’t limited to Waldorf Astoria and Conrad. Hilton’s list includes properties like Canopy Austin Downtown, DoubleTree Grand Key in Key West, AutoCamp locations and Small Luxury Hotels properties. Check the actual list for your hotel rather than assuming that luxury means luxury. I value Hilton points at 0.4 cents apiece, so 1,000 points are worth about $4 and 3,000 points are worth about $12. These are bonuses per stay, not per night. A four-night stay earning the basic bonus gets you $1 per night. A seven-night stay at a property earning the higher bonus gets you about $1.71 per night. The summer offer awarded 2,000 points for stays of up to three nights and 4,000 points for four nights or longer. So this isn’t worse for absolutely everyone. A short stay at one of the selected properties goes from 2,000 to 3,000 points. But a short stay earning the ordinary bonus gets cut in half, and every stay of four nights or longer earns less than under the summer offer. Hilton has long relied on promotions to get member earning up to the same level as competitor programs like Marriott and IHG. The base standard used to be double points, and on certain stays even triple points. The summer promotion ended August 15, and this one doesn’t begin until October 15. Hilton is leaving two months between these global offers. Registering now won’t get you this bonus on a September stay. I’d register anyway, even if you don’t expect to stay with Hilton during the promotion period. If you wind up with a stay you didn’t anticipate, you’ll never remember to go back and register later.
