Hilarious moment Amazon delivery drone drops package directly into swimming pool as customer is left fuming

THIS is the hilarious moment a delivery drone opens its hatch – and dumps its Amazon package directly into a swimming pool. Lindsey Austen, from Texas, heard a loud buzzing sound and ran into her garden – only to be met with an astonishing sight. Bristling with six mini propellers, the drone artfully hovers over the pool – before suddenly unloading its contents from a height of around 30ft. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! The cardboard box lands with a splash and can be seen bobbing in the water as the bot buzzes away. “When it went into the pool, I was shocked,” Lindsey said, adding: “I don’t think I’ll be wanting any more drone deliveries.” Shared by ABC7 News on Wednesday, the clip has since been seen thousands of times. One viewer joked: “I love how it gently drops my package from over 30 feet in the air. Now that’s proper care.” “Maybe she ordered a pool float”, another quipped. The tech giant previously stressed that its drones deliver packages safely and quietly. It comes after another drone mishap in May where a bot dropped a package next to a pond where the force of landing sent it flying into the water. Last year an Amazon delivery drone plopped a package next to a pool in Arizona – but the gusts of wind from the bot’s propellers blew the box into the water. Amazon’s Prime Air service is still in its early phases – but the mega corp recently announced plans to expand to 500 new cities. Some residents have already raised concerns about the disruptive sound of the delivery bots. One Facebook user said: “Saw one just now outside my home. They’re louder than I was thinking they would be.” Another commented: “I saw one yesterday flying over my neighborhood. It sounded like a small plane.” Amazon has brushed off their complaints and said the sound level is comparable to an electric toothbrush. Comment now
