ABC Published Oct 12, 2026, 8:59 PM EDT Jennifer is a TV and Movie News Editor at ScreenRant. She started her journey in entertainment media in 2022 when she first joined Valnet at CBR before coming to ScreenRant. Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available. Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show. Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far. She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism. During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it. ABC is preparing to give one of its biggest TV hits an early release. The network has confirmed that its popular crime drama High Potential, starring Kaitlin Olson, will air immediately after Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14, 2027. The announcement was made Monday, October 12, 2026, during ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast. The decision places High Potential in one of TV's best time slots. The Super Bowl consistently attracts massive amounts of viewers, giving whichever program that follows the championship game an opportunity to reach audiences who might not ordinarily tune in. For ABC, the move can be seen as an opportunity to introduce its successful drama to an even larger demographic, giving High Potential season 3 a major boost. Super Bowl LXI will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The game will be airing on ABC and ESPN as well as streaming on Disney+. The February 2027 championship will be a significant moment for Disney, making it ESPN's first Super Bowl production and ABC's first broadcast of the event since 2006. The network's decision is likely due to the strong numbers High Potential has brought ABC since its debut in September 2024. According to figures released by the company, the drama finished the 2025–2026 season as the highest-rated entertainment program among adults ages 18 to 49 across ABC, Hulu, Disney+, and other platforms. Although the drama has already established itself as a major success, its upcoming post-Super Bowl time slot could give it even more exposure than ever before. The early premiere date is expected to get the attention of viewers who are unfamiliar with the series, while giving existing fans another reason to tune in after the big game. Inspired by the French television series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel, High Potential follows Morgan Gillory (Olson), a highly observant single mother who has the ability to quickly pick up patterns. Her talents make her an invaluable asset to local law enforcement. The show also stars Daniel Sunjata (Adam Karadec), Javicia Leslie (Daphne), Deniz Akdeniz (Lev “Oz” Ozdil), Amirah J (Ava), Matthew Lamb (Elliot), and Judy Reyes (Selena). High Potential was developed by Drew Goddard and produced by 20th Television. Its executive producers include Goddard, Sarah Esberg, Nora Zuckerman, Lilla Zuckerman, and Olson. Andrea Massaro serves as a co-executive producer. The Zuckerman sisters are also taking over showrunning responsibilities for the third season following Todd Harthan's departure. More to come...
