When a seemingly routine case turns deadly, they must use their expertise to protect each other while bringing the killer to justice. The series stars Peter Krause, Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom and Charlie Barnett.“Today” anchor Jenna Bush Hager, who is the daughter of former President George W. Bush, is an executive producer on “Line of Fire.” During the Aug. 20 episode of “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle,” Bush Hager revealed that one of her former Secret Service agents was a consultant for “Line of Fire.”READ MORE: Here’s your guide to the new CBS shows premiering this fall“Line of Fire” was created by Josh Safran, who is known for creating the ABC thriller “Quantico” and the 2021 “Gossip Girl” reboot.‘Newlyweds’Tea Leoni as Jeanie and Tim Daly as Tony in "Newlyweds."NBCPremiere date: Friday, Oct. 23, at 8:30 p.m. ETTéa Leoni and Tim Daly, who are married in real life, play newlyweds Jeanie and Tony in this later-in-life love story. Jeanie is a free-spirited woman who marries buttoned-up professor Tony after a whirlwind courtship. Jamie Lee Curtis plays Tony’s ex-wife in a recurring guest role.Daly told People in December 2025 that he fell in love with Leoni “about four minutes” after meeting her on the set of the CBS drama “Madam Secretary.” However, unlike their “Newlyweds” characters, the pair dated for 10 years before getting married.Curtis co-created “Newlyweds” with Gail Lerner, who has served as executive producer for shows including “Will & Grace” and “Black-ish.” Curtis got the idea for the show from her relationship with Christopher Guest, her husband since 1984. He really doesn’t talk.’”“There’s always been that aspect of my relationship with my husband, we are polar opposites,” Curtis continued. “And that was when we started talking about a later‑in‑life thing that happens to people in their 60s, who hook up and kind of go, ‘You know what, let’s do this.’”‘The Traitors: New Blood’Premiere date: Thursday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m. ET“The Traitors: New Blood” is an all-civilian version of the reality competition series “The Traitors,” which has aired on Peacock since 2023. All four seasons of the Peacock version feature celebrity contestants — season 1 had a mix of celebrities and civilians — but the cast of “The Traitors: New Blood” is composed entirely of everyday Americans.The show follows contestants as they participate in a social deduction game with a group of anonymous Traitors in their midst. Together they complete missions to win prize money and try to sniff out the double agents in their ranks. The Traitors “murder” one Faithful every night. The Faithfuls’ only recourse is to vote to “banish” one suspected Traitor at the roundtable the next day. Alan Cumming hosts the game of mayhem and murder, which is filmed at Ardross Castle in Scotland.
