Here's Everything Apple Announced This Week

Skip to ContentIf you missed the news over the last three days, we've rounded up all our coverage in one spot, so it's easy to take a look back. The ‌MacBook Pro‌ got the biggest update, and it's now the first Mac with an ‌OLED‌ display and touch support. It's a little bit thinner and lighter than the mini-LED models, which are also still on sale, but it unfortunately uses the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips Apple introduced earlier this year. It also got a Dynamic Island, a glowing Apple logo, and a new speaker setup, but prices went up too. The ‌OLED‌ models have a $400 premium over comparable mini-LED models. Apple's other big update was the ‌iPad mini‌, which also has an ‌OLED‌ display. It's the second iPad to get ‌OLED‌ after the iPad Pro, and it's the first ‌iPad‌ with an official water and dust resistance rating. It uses a new acoustic display setup, helping it earn an IP67 rating, so it'll hold up to brief submersion and splashing. The base 14-inch ‌MacBook Pro‌ and the ‌iMac‌ got M6 chips, but not much else.
