Heidi Klum's 2026 Halloween party costume: a giant bloody replica of her own hand

By Maja Kunert Published on 1 November 2026 - 17:05 GMT+1•Updated 17:09 When Heidi Klum announces her annual Halloween party, her guests know one thing for certain: her costume is going to be elaborate. And the costume was not just any hand, but an enlarged copy of Klum's own left hand. According to Vogue_,_ body scans were used to create it. Her engagement ring, wedding ring and the tattoo with her husband Tom Kaulitz's name were all there. Klum reportedly got the idea for the costume last year. “I looked at my hand and I thought, ‘Hey, I think I could fit my body in this somehow,’” Klum said, per the Associated Press. Behind the transformation was once again special effects make-up artist Mike Marino, who has already brought several of Klum's costume artworks to life. Family affair Klum's husband has been a key part of her Halloween bashes for years, often turning out in equally spectacular outfits. He has appeared as an egg to match her peacock, a fisherman to her giant worm, and a petrified counterpart to her Medusa. This time, he was absent due to a concert in Germany, however. “Of course I would have loved to hold hands with Tom,” Klum told Bunte magazine. “But you can’t be in two places at once.” Her daughter, Leni Klum, came as Miss Piggy, with pig ears, XXL eyelashes and a purple feather boa. Other guests included actors Kyle MacLachlan and Neil Patrick Harris, who appeared with his husband David Burtka as a creepy twin team. On the eve of the event, Klum also invited a small group to her pizzeria in the New York neighbourhood of Soho. There, she appeared without the monster hand, donning an orange dress and black boots for the occasion. It seems the "Queen of Halloween," who has also appeared as E.T. and Fiona from the animated film Shrek, has no intention of giving up the title any time soon.
