A waterlogged stretch in Adimaly on Saturday | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The Adimaly region under Devikulam taluk in Idukki witnessed extremely heavy rainfall on Saturday afternoon, resulting in waterlogging of business establishments and isolated mudslides along the Kochi-Dhanushkodi National Highway connecting the Munnar hill station.According to residents, Adimaly town and the adjoining highway stretch experienced intense downpours lasting a few hours, leading to the flooding of several homes and commercial units, particularly around Library Junction. The sudden inundation caused substantial financial losses to local merchants and residents.A mudslide was reported at Leksham Veedu near Adimaly along the highway, while Kallarkutty witnessed both a tree fall and a mudslide.
