As of early August, filming is now underway for the second season following the hugely successful first season. In recent weeks, the cast has greatly expanded, with Charlie Gillespie, Justice Smith, Edvin Ryding, Emily Hampshire, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka signing on to the series alongside returning leads Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie. Now two more actors are joining their ranks. It's been officially announced that Shaheen Jagargholi and Daniel Diemer will be playing Fabian and Ryan in Heated Rivalry season 2. Series creator Jacob Tierney and executive producer Brendan Brady explained that Fabian and Ryan "each bring a distinctive energy to the world Rachel Reid has created." Since these characters are "bold, complicated and deeply compelling," it was extremely important to find actors who could "take on all of those different sides." Jafargholi and Diemer will bring a lot of "confidence and emotional honesty" to the roles. Jafargholi's first time as a series regular on TV came via the British soap opera EastEnders in 2016. He followed that up with shows like Casualty, Wreck and In Flight. This year, he appeared in two episodes of Michael Fassbender's Paramount+ spy thriller The Agency and can be seen this fall in the HBO legal drama War, which premieres on October 1. Less than a year ago, Diemer played the cyclops Tyson on Percy Jackson and the Olympians. His other credits include The Half of It, The Man in the High Castle, The Midnight Club and Under the Bridge. Percy Jackson season 3 premieres November 20, and Diemer will be reprising the role of Tyson on the fantasy series. More to come...
