‘Heated Rivalry’ Posts Statement Asking for Privacy as Season 2 Starts Filming

The phenomenon that was Heated Rivalry season 1 made it clear that the show has some very passionate fans. And the people behind the show are well aware that some fans can get a little too passionate. (And, no, I’m not talking about whatever the fanfic community is certainly up to.)On Tuesday, August 4, the official Heated Rivalry Instagram account and the account for the show’s production company, Accent Aigu Entertainment, posted a statement asking fans to, basically, remain calm if they see the show filming in public.“Your support, enthusiasm, and kindness have meant the world to us,” the statement begins. “As we gear up for more Heated Rivalry, please help us in making it the best it can be. If you happen to come across one of our filming locations, please give our cast and crew the space they need to do what they do best. We promise it’ll be worth the wait!”Season 2 of Heated Rivalry began filming this summer, and photos of stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie in Toronto have been published online recently. The first season of the show filmed in Ontario and Quebec, but obviously, no one knew what a big hit it would become at that point. The incident was recorded, and he said to the group, “You guys aren’t fans. You’re being really creepy, and you just followed me, okay? You don’t do this.” Based on situations like that, it’s no surprise that the show would want to get in front of any potential disruptions or harassment of the cast.Heated Rivalry is based on Rachel Reid’s book series, Game Changers. While the first season was adapted primarily from the second book, Heated Rivalry, the second season will be based on book six, The Long Game, as well as aspects of book five, Role Model, according to The Hollywood Reporter.An official premiere date for season 2 has not yet been set, but THR reports that the goal is spring 2027.“We’re getting ready to start shooting this summer. And there will be more Heated Rivalry on your TVs as—like, truly—as soon as humanly possible,” series creator Jacob Tierney told CBS Mornings in February. Executive producer Brendan Brady added, “Like the best parts of this show, just enjoy the yearn.”But, you know, don’t yearn so hard that you end up on the set snapping sneaky pictures and distracting the cast and crew.
