Health is always a valuable resource in action RPGs, as, well, you don't want to die. The more health you have, the longer you'll stay alive against difficult enemies and resonants. Rather than increasing a health stat, you'll need to look for health upgrade points. Once you collect three health upgrade points, you'll increase your maximum health. Here's where to find health upgrade points in Control Resonant. [Ed. note: This guide is currently a work in progress. We'll update this guide with every health upgrade point location shortly.] How to get health upgrade points in Control Resonant Health upgrade points are found in large resource crates, specifically the crates that look like ice cream stands. Some of the resource crates are next to vendors or hidden away in secret hideouts, so you'll need to get exploring and solve a few puzzles. Your best bet is to level up your zones until you unlock the locations of every large resource crate on the map. Unfortunately, you won't know what's inside the crate until you see it, and some are still hard to find, even if you know their location. Downtown health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant There are five health upgrade points in the Downtown zone, and four of them can be found without traversal abilities. However, you will need Reach from the Evacuation Zone to reach the final upgrade point. Location Map Description Urban Fresh Mart The first health upgrade point can actually be found during the prologue. Turn right as soon as you exit the Oldest House to find the Urban Fresh Mart. Go inside to find the ice cream stand with the upgrade point. Atlantis Cafe This Atlantis Cafe is located northwest of the Oldest House. Solve the puzzle inside by turning on the appliances in the correct order, which will reveal a secret hideout containing an ice cream stand. Rooftop of brick building east of Oldest House Head east of the Oldest House and use Elevate to jump to the top of the brick building. The ice cream stand will be on the southernmost rooftop. Vendor Go southwest from the "Outside the Oldest House" fast travel door, and head into the alleyway across the street. Inside, you'll find the vendor and the ice cream stand to its left. Island south of "Chasm" fast travel door Use Reach on the balcony at Lookout Point, and then follow the road south. Reach to the rooftops on the left side of the road, and glide your way over to the island. On the southern corner, you'll find an ice cream stand. However, you will need to progress in the main story to collect one of them. Location Map Description Central Supply Route Station As you're exiting the Underground Supply Route, you'll find this health upgrade point inside a little storefront in the subway station. Urban Fresh Mart Head inside the Urban Fresh Mart to the northwest of the Field Office to find a health upgrade point. Wear'Em & Wash'Em Laundromat Go inside the laundromat just northwest of the East Park Station, and solve the puzzle inside by turning on the laundry machines associated with the 1's on the note. Make sure to also turn off the incorrect machines. Once complete, go into the secret hideout to grab the health upgrade point. Vendor Go southeast of the Patterned Factory to find the vendor, and its health upgrade point. Patterned Factory As you're clearing the red masses off the pipes in the Patterned Factory, you'll notice a health upgrade point behind a barred door. Defeat the enemies in the next room, and follow the path to the next fork. Make sure to go left at the fork, and follow it to the end, where you'll find the health upgrade point. Field Office Station (during "Power Lines" main quest) During the "Power Lines" main quest, you'll head to the Field Office Station after you reroute all three stations. Use the tuning device on Platform A to teleport to Platform B, and go up the stairs. Transfer the electricity from one power core to the other, and go into the room to find the health upgrade point. Table graphics: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Remedy Entertainment via Polygon West Incursion Zone health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant There are four health upgrade points found in the West Incursion Zone, and most require you to have the Shift traversal ability from the Parking Garage fault. You can get the Parking Garage health upgrade point without it, but it's easier to just wait until after you finish the fault. Location Map Description Vendor Fly over the hiss spikes in the alleyway northwest of the map pylon to find the vendor. The health upgrade point is directly to the left of the ice cream truck. Parking Garage Complete the fault inside the Parking Garage, where you'll learn Shift. As you're exiting, follow the road, where you'll be able to spot a lit ice cream stand ahead of you. Urban Fresh Mart This Urban Fresh Mart is located on the southeast road in the West Incursion Zone. Solve the puzzle inside by inputting the soda dispenser code into the cash register, which will reveal a secret hideout. Go inside to find the health upgrade point. Empire Avenue Station Make your way to the resonant in the West Incursion Zone. Go into Empire Avenue Station, where you'll find a health upgrade point inside the Jumpin' Joe's Books & Comics Galore store. One is technically in The Park, but you need to go through the Evacuation Zone to get it. Location Map Description Könstig Art Gallery This Könstig Art Gallery is located just southeast of the "Main Street" fast travel door. Solve the puzzle inside to uncover a secret hideout containing a health upgrade point. Vendor The health upgrade point is directly next to the vendor, which is to the east of the "Main Street" fast travel door. Evac Building Progress through the "Evacuation Procedures" main story quest. After you defeat the enemies on the 12th floor and reach the scaffolding platforming section, you'll naturally run into this health upgrade point. Subway fault After you finish the Subway fault and make your way to the exit, you'll run into the "Patterned Metro Tunnels" fast travel door. Go into the blue door beside it, and follow the path to find this health upgrade point. Location Map Description On the way to the resonant After you eat the three molds, go through the moldy gate at the bottom of the pit. On the way, you'll run into a health upgrade point. Vendor Go through the parking garage on the northeast side of The Park, and then climb up the giant mold wall on the road heading southwest. This will take you to the top of the parking garage, where you'll find the vendor and its health upgrade point. Atlantis Cafe Head to the southeast corner of The Park, where you'll find an Atlantis Cafe. Solve the puzzle by recording the orders of tables 1, 5, 4, and 2, and then input their associated letters into the cash register. This will reveal a secret hideout containing a health upgrade point. Location Map Description Vendor When you first make it to the Underpass, follow the string of glow sticks until you reach an area where you must Shift onto a wall with a bunch of desks. Continue over to the next pillar, but instead of following the rope, go toward the red hiss spikes. Glide over the spikes to find the vendor and the health upgrade component. Path to the Underpass Resonant After you climb the Spire and make it into the white area with black pillars, walk up to the first save point. Then, turn to the right to see a path to the floating island in the distance. Make your way over, and follow the path of clutter until you naturally reach the health upgrade point.
