Even though The Pitt won't premiere until January 2027, Deadline reports that HBO Max is officially moving ahead with a French medical alum from ER producer Neal Baer. The series is tentatively titled Rush, and it was unveiled at the Festival de la Fiction in La Rochelle. Rush is an eight-part drama, with each episode consisting of 45 minutes. It focuses on the emergency medical service in Paris, putting a particular focus on a group of doctors as they respond to various crises across the French capital. It is written and created by Nils-Antoine Sambuc, with Baer credited as an associate producer. In particular, Rush zooms in on the doctors as they do their best to save lives and deal with their personal relationships. It's teased that they will bring emergency medicine to street corners, metro areas, homes, and even iconic landmarks. All the while, they have to deal with the fact that every decision they make will likely have far-reaching consequences. More to come...
