Hayden Panettiere’s ex-fiancé granted control of her estate amid missing jewelry claims

A judge has granted Wladimir Klitschko temporary guardianship duties regarding the estate of his late former fiancée, Hayden Panettiere, with whom he shares an 11-year-old daughter.Klitschko is now allowed to initiate probate proceedings, recommend an estate administrator, handle Panettiere's state and federal tax filings, and ask law enforcement to investigate any potentially misappropriated property, after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie C. Santoro signed an authorization order on Tuesday. Previous court filings by Klitschko indicated that some of Panettiere’s personal effects are missing, including jewelry and an engagement ring valued at $500,000.The petition filed by Klitschko on Sept. 24 stressed that his actions are aimed exclusively at preserving his daughter’s inheritance. Klitschko warned that law enforcement authorities examining Panettiere’s death, along with an unidentified individual outside the family attempting to sell her belongings, were taking items from her estate, leaving no one with the authority to reclaim them on behalf of her daughter, Kaya."There is a high probability that property belonging to Hayden’s Estate may be lost, damaged or dissipated," the legal filing noted.A hearing concerning a proposed estate guardianship for the couple's daughter, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko, is scheduled for Dec. 7, coinciding with the expiration of the temporary estate guardianship for her mother.Boxer Wladimir Klitschko and actress/model Hayden Panettiere attend the 34th Annual Sports Emmy Awards Reception at Frederick P.
