Hatebreed Announce New Album Fatal Paradox, Unleash “Kill Count Increase”: Stream

Hatebreed have announced Fatal Paradox, their first new album in six years. Ahead of its November 6th release, the band has unleashed the first single, “Kill Count Increase.” “Kill Count Increase” is in all ways classic Hatebreed in the best possible way. The line between thrash and hardcore in what they do is razor thin. The drums rage like a D-beat Brann Dailor with wild fills aplenty providing plenty of feral energy, the guitars sit somewhere between early thrash and the kind of metallic hardcore pioneered by Converge and Coalesce. Get Hatebreed Tickets Here Frontman Jamey Jasta, meanwhile, continues to show why he’s one of the best vocalists hardcore has ever seen, delivering a performance that showcases the politically charged lyrics with full clarity but still delivered with the kind of bellowing force of someone screaming at the top of their lungs. Jasta said of the track, “‘Kill Count Increase’ is the lead track on Fatal Paradox and a perfect way of summing up our first album in six years from the start. It’s straightforward, in-your-face Hatebreed. Fast. Hard. It gets down to business and comes up for air two-and-a-half minutes later. The room and everyone in it gets wrecked and comes back wanting more.” Hatebreed are currently finishing up the Summer Slaughter tour, where they are this year’s headliner alongside bands like Incantation and Devourment. The band then has a long run of dates taking them from August into October in North America including a show supporting Slayer on their Minnesota date for the 40th anniversary of Reign in Blood, as well as a date supporting Turnstile on their tour.
