Hassan district administration receives 1,076 applications during Praja Seva Abhiyana meeting

Shivalinge Gowda on Saturday (September 5).Of the applications received, officers resolved 62 on the spot. The Minister directed officials to resolve the remaining applications within a period ranging from 15 days to two months, depending on the nature of the issue raised.Mr. Gowda, who is also the Minister in charge of the district, said a majority of the applications — over 700 — related to the Department of Survey, Settlement and Land Records. He instructed officers to resolve these in a time-bound manner and keep his office updated on the progress of redressal. He added that if a particular application could not be resolved, the officer concerned should inform the applicant of the specific reasons.On complaints alleging that liquor shops were operating beyond permitted hours, the Minister instructed officials to ensure that shops functioned only between 10.30 a.m. and 10.30 p.m., and that those violating the time schedule should face legal action. On the demand for basic amenities for residents living close to Seege Gudda, he directed the officers concerned to visit the site and take appropriate measures.Mr. Gowda said the State government was holding Praja Seva Abhiyana meetings across Karnataka, and that the Hassan meeting had been very well organised.
