The weather also led to British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith, who is opening for Styles during the Mexico leg of the tour, cancelling her performance. Meanwhile, hundreds of fans in the uncovered General A and B sections sought shelter as the rain intensified.Later in the evening, Styles thanked the crowd of 68,000. Addressing fans, he said, "Viva Mexico!" before adding in English, "Thank you so much for being here. Is everyone all right? OK, it's just like sweating if you think about it. You survived the rain. Thank you for being here. It means so much to us."Despite the disruption, local authorities reported no major incidents, and the concert continued without further interruptions.The performance marked the second night of Styles' six-show residency in Mexico City, which began a day earlier with what was described as a fresh and experimental setlist. The remaining concerts are scheduled for August 4, 7, 8 and 10.Mexico City is one of seven cities selected by Styles for performances in 2026.
