FILMING on Halftime Hero has been halted after the death of a crew member. I’m told the cast of the film – about footie boss Harry Redknapp and mouthy West Ham fan Steve Wright – were filming in Leyton, East London, earlier this month when one of the crew fell ill and later passed away. Sign up for the Showbiz newsletter Thank you! “The priority right now is the family of the person who passed away, and the wellbeing of everyone who was working on the film at that time.” Work was paused after the incident, which happened on August 19. The movie, which features Ellie Bamber and Anson Boone, tells the story of the moment Harry made history while working as the assistant manager for West Ham. He put heckling fan Steve on as a substitute during a game against Oxford City – and the unlikely player scored as the Hammers won 4-0. Anson plays Steve in the film – which is being made by Sir Ridley Scott’s production company. Eddie Marsan has taken the leading role as Harry, who will also make a cameo in the film.
