Hamza al-Eily to play Mostafa Mahmoud in upcoming series ‘Between Doubt and Certainty’

The production team behind the series “Bayn al-Shakk wa al-Yaqin” (Between Doubt and Certainty) is preparing to shoot the opening scenes in Minya Governorate later this week, ahead of its scheduled broadcast during the Ramadan 2027 drama season. The series stars actor Hamza al-Eily, who portrays the renowned scientist and thinker Dr. Mostafa Mahmoud. The upcoming drama follows Dr Mahmoud‘s biographical, intellectual, and personal journey. It chronicles his transformative path between science and philosophy and the various stages in his life – culminating in his status as one of Egypt’s most distinguished thinkers and scientists. “Between Doubt and Certainty” is directed by Kamla Abu-Zekry, with a dramatic treatment by Mohamed Hisham Obeya and production by Mohamed al-Saadi, while Maha Selim serves as executive producer. The series also stars Ashraf Abdel-Baky, Mourad Makram, Hassan Malek, Mayan al-Sayed, Tara Abboud, and Yasmina el-Abed. The production team is set to reveal further details about the series in the coming period, coinciding with the start of filming and final preparations for its broadcast during the Ramadan 2027 drama season.
