Sign in to your ScreenRant account Halo is finally back in a big way, and by most accounts, players are having a great trip down memory lane playing Halo: Campaign Evolved. The game does a great job of updating the original release for a new generation, and it seems like the kind of watershed moment that could finally put the impetus back into a franchise that has been desperately craving some momentum. The only element that feels noticeably missing at this juncture is the hectic multiplayer that has made the series so great over the years. While this was a deliberate and understandable choice in the case of Campaign Evolved, it hasn't tempered the desire for a new multiplayer experience set within the same framework. Now, new information has emerged that suggests that could be on the way, and it might be everything we have ever dreamed of. Halo Studios Over on Reddit, one user shared a glut of information that had been put together over on YouTube by Sean Dubs TV. We already know Halo 2 is on the way, after a unique ending on the game's Legendary difficulty confirmed as much, but it seems that isn't the only surprise coming down the pipeline. Specifically, it seems as though there is a multiplayer experience in the works as well, with several figures claiming they have played the unreleased game. This is likely pointing to a multiplayer release that draws elements from the remakes of the Halo trilogy, which are seemingly now all happening, as the OP explains in a comment, after someone thought it could just be the Master Chief Collection all over again. "No, not separate games, it's one multiplayer game that will fuse the three games. Because they will all reuse assets they'll basically look the same, so multiplayer will take a selection of maps from 1–3 and it'll play like how the Remake games play." It's certainly an interesting proposition, and it does feel like we need some kind of multiplayer goodness if this new path of remakes is going to be a success. If the best elements of all three are drawn into one game, it could very quickly become quite a compelling overall package. There has been no word yet on when we might expect to see something of this fabled Halo release, but it's likely to be a while yet if elements of all three games in the trilogy are planned for inclusion.
