Halloween: The Game Closet Minigame Was A "Major Oversight"

While there have been plenty of funny clips circulating, there is one particular genre that's getting a lot of attention, as Halloween: The Game launched with a full-blown sex minigame that had you getting hot and steamy with other players in a closet. To start the minigame, two players would have to enter a closet and then someone would have to "ask out" the other person in the closet with them. You'd then get two bars that you fill by button mashing, and doing so will have a series of raunchy noises leak out of the closet, and if you keep the small heart gauge in the correct zone, you successfully complete the minigame and give yourselves a boost. While you don't actually see anything happen, it's pretty heavily implied that the two characters are doing the deed. Unfortunately for IllFonic, the game doesn't actually limit which characters can partake in this minigame, leading to extremely inappropriate instances of grown man Dr. Loomis getting into the closet with the 17-year-old high schooler Lynda van der Klok. IllFonic Says Halloween's Closet Sex Minigame Was A "Major Oversight" What with one particular clip having gone viral recently, developer IllFonic has responded by removing the minigame completely from Halloween, and also recently issued a statement to IGN, calling the whole issue a "major oversight." "Players may have noticed that our latest hotfix removed the Two-Person Power-Up minigame," says the statement. "This was due to an unintended issue that allowed end-game reinforcement characters to engage with the minigame, which was a major oversight on our part. We have more content and minigames coming in the near future but current focus is our attention on immediate game needs." "Major oversight" is probably a bit of an understatement, especially since Dr. Loomis in the game is using the likeness of the actual actor, Donald Pleasence, who is actually deceased.
