Haitian Flag Day celebrations held in South Florida
Across South Florida, Haitian Flag Day celebrations are taking place on Monday. May 18 honors the celebration of Haiti’s flag and the country’s fight for independence. Celebrations were held early Monday morning at the Notre Dame D’Haiti Catholic Church in Little Haiti. Later in the evening, the City of North Miami is hosting its Haitian Flag Day celebration at Moco Plaza. It starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m.
