In the 911 dispatch transcript, which was placed shortly after 6:15 p.m. on Thursday and obtained by Page Six, Blanchard’s sister-in-law, Anita Blanchard, requested a wellness check on Urker after his boss, Justin Daigle, noted he had failed to show up to work earlier in the day. Anita told the dispatcher that Urker was in a “dark place,” “has made threats to commit suicide” and “does own a gun. She believed he had “killed himself.” Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s fiancé, Ken Urker (pictured together in March 2025), threatened suicide shortly before he was found dead at his Louisiana home. Instagram / @gypsyrose.ig According to the call log, Urker “was drinking last night as well.” We also obtained the accompanying incident report from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, which went on to state that both Anita and her husband, Dylan Blanchard — Gypsy’s half-brother — had been with Urker the day before. The couple said he went to church with them Wednesday night and that he “made comments of being depressed and upset.” Want more celebrity and pop culture news? Start your day with Page Six Daily. Given the concerning “behavior,” his absence from work and the lack of response to calls and text messages, Dylan, Anita and Daigle went to Urker’s Raceland home. They were able to gain access to the residence after Dylan noticed Urker’s bedroom window was unlocked. The trio was “able to see Mr. Urker lying on his bed unconscious.” Urker “was not answering” them, so they entered through the window and approached him. Daigle said he “did touch” Urker and “learned that he was cold and not breathing.” That’s when they called 911. When deputies arrived, they “advised that Mr. Urker was deceased and they had left out of the residence without touching Mr. Urker or any property inside of the residence.” “Deputies walked in the direction of the room and located paraphernalia (syringes and spoon) in the bathroom next to a brown powdery substance. Deputies located a syringe and a handgun on the nightstand next to the bed,” the report stated. “Mr. Urker was found lying on the bed on his back, cold to the touch, and appeared to have been there for an extended period of time. His face and his arms were blue. He had a paper towel placed on his left arm with what appeared to be blotches of blood on the paper towel. “ According to the deputies, the handgun on the nightstand “was holstered laying next to two shot glasses and a syringe. Nothing else inside of the bedroom appeared to be disturbed or moved.” If you or someone you know is affected by any of the issues raised in this story, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or text Crisis Text Line at 741741.
