The conversation, dated Sept. 2, began with Urker informing Blanchard that he would be home Friday evening. She replied that she would leave Aurora with him and pick her up Sunday evening. Urker was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Oct. 1, his 34th birthday, after a family member requested a welfare check when he failed to show up for work. Blanchard’s sister-in-law, Anita Blanchard, could be heard in 911 dispatch logs telling a dispatcher that Urker had threatened suicide shortly before he was found, and authorities reportedly discovered drugs, drug paraphernalia and a handgun at the scene.
