Guy Ritchie Officially Brings Back His Best Show

For one thing, while many producers, like Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan, are all too happy to find a niche and repeatedly revisit it, Ritchie’s screen output has consistently defied easy genre categorization. On the big screen, Ritchie has directed R-rated gangster movies like RocknRolla and The Gentlemen, war movies like The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and The Covenant, epic fantasy films like King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and spy movies like The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. Meanwhile, as a small-screen creator, Ritchie’s output is just as varied. While Ritchie might not have quite as many shows as Sheridan or Bridgerton’s Shonda Rhimes quite yet, his success across a variety of streaming services makes him one of the most prolific producers of this era. Young Sherlock, MobLand, and The Gentlemen have all been big hits for Ritchie on three different rival streaming services, which makes Ritchie’s brand an enviable one in an era when even the most established franchises often struggle to pull off spinoffs, reboots, and sequel shows. If MobLand season 2 can match season 1’s streaming success, this may cement Ritchie’s status as an industry superstar even further.
