This comes after an American man found his wife’s engagement ring while on vacation in Italy – nine years after she lost it. Margaret and Justin Mussel from New Jersey first visited Pompeii in Italy in 2006 on their honeymoon. On their way back from the ancient site, her diamond ring slipped off her finger, but she didn’t realise until they got back to the hotel. They turned their hotel room upside down but couldn’t find it anywhere. When the couple went back to the country nine years later they were in luck, because Justin found the ring stuck in the pavement. According to Margaret, it looks almost as good as it did when Justin proposed. She said: “If you saw it, you wouldn’t think it [had been] in a crack for nine years.” Comment now
