Gurugram man tracks down delayed Zomato order, finds delivery rider eating it

A Gurugram resident said he tracked his Zomato order and found the delivery rider eating his meal. What he found, he said, was the rider and another person eating the food he had ordered.Rishabh Kaushik explained that he ordered food from Khadak Singh Da Dhaba through Zomato at 10.58 pm for delivery. However, the food did not reach him even as the app indicated that the delivery partner was nearby.In a post on X, Kaushik wrote what happened next. He said he opened the order tracker to check on his delivery, only to find that the delivery partner’s location had remained at the same spot for around 40 minutes.After that, he took the matter into his own hands and got out of his house to find out what was causing the delay. Turns out, the delivery rider along with another individual were feasting on Kaushik’s food order. Surprised, Kaushik shared photographs that showed the half-eaten food packets opened by the rider.The images were posted alongside screenshots of the order tracker, which showed the delivery rider’s location and the order continuing through the delivery process despite Kaushik not receiving the meal. He then took a dig at Zomato and its founder, Deepinder Goyal, adding, “The delivery partner’s icon has been standing at the same spot for 40 minutes. @deepigoyal, this isn’t food delivery anymore.
