It emphasises precise surgical planning, neuronavigation and protection of normal brain tissue during microsurgery.Dr. Rao said Cylinder Surgery has an evolving role in carefully selected patients with deep-seated brain lesions, where the surgical route is particularly important for minimising disruption to healthy brain structures.The World Neurosciences Summit brought together neurosurgeons, neurologists and neuroscience experts from India and abroad to discuss advances in brain, spine and neurovascular surgery, artificial intelligence in neuroscience and minimally invasive technologies.Dr. Rao is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with international training in specialised neurosurgical fields and regularly participates as invited faculty at national and international scientific conferences.
