Gunmen on motorcyle kill village councilor in Isabela

(contributed by PNP Echague) ECHAGUE, Isabela-A 66-year-old barangay councilor was shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen at his farm in Barangay Malibago here at 8 in the morning on Friday, police said. Lito Publico, 66, who used to serve as the barangay captain, sustained five bullet wounds, one of which pierced his head, according to Police Colonel Manuel Bringas, Isabela police director. The type of gun used is still being verified.
