Gujarat man rescued from illegal confinement in Bihar after marriage, job lure

A 30-year-old man from Gujarat, who was allegedly lured to Bihar on the promise of marriage and a lucrative job, was rescued from illegal confinement in Rohtas district, police said on Sunday.One person was arrested in connection with the case, they said.The victim, Mukesh Bhai of Surendranagar district in Gujarat, was rescued from Beda village in the Mufassil police station area, they said.Sasaram Mufassil SHO Rajeev Ranjan Singh said Mukesh was allegedly persuaded by a woman to travel to Bihar with the promise that she would marry him and he would also get to earn good money through a network marketing business. The investigation began after Mukesh’s family approached the Gujarat Police, suspecting foul play as he had repeatedly called them seeking money on the pretext of paying for training, Singh said.The Gujarat Police alerted their counterparts in Bihar, following which Mukesh was rescued and one accused, Mohammad Irfan, was arrested, he added.
