But already, fans are looking to the sequel, and wondering where exactly Rockstar might take us next. With the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, we will have revisited every major city from the 3D games: Liberty City, Los Santos, and Vice City. So, the question is, will Rockstar repeat the cycle and return to Liberty City yet again, or branch out and make a brand-new, wholly original setting? Fans are hoping for the latter, and they have a few ideas in mind. A modern-day Western set in Mexico and Texas, in the vein of No Country for Old Men, would be a bizarrely brilliant leap from a Bonnie & Clyde crime thriller, and venturing to North Yankton for a sprinkle of Fargo would be a welcome breath of fresh air for the series, taking that GTA 5 prologue and building an entire game around it.
