Save for a random, last-minute wrench in Rockstar's plans that contradicts its marketing black hole, the game releases in exactly one month, on November 19. That's one month to book the day off work, or, if you want to be a bit more practical, two days. That way, you get a four-day weekend to play GTA 6 (I'm sure you can get a hack Vice City doctor to write a note). More seriously, that's a month to scrounge up $79.99 for the Standard Edition, or $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. And if you decide to pre-order, digital preloads go live a full week early: Preload date: November 12 at midnight local time. Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Expected storage: we don't know how big the game will be, but considering that GTA 5 is already 94GB for the next-gen edition, it's probably a smart idea to clear 150–200 GB just to be safe. You can always finagle the New Zealand trick to play a day early. There's no disc version, just a code-in-a-box, so if you decide to buy 'physically', you'll still need to download the game at launch. If you don't have the best internet, frankly, digital is probably the way to go. Then again, the physical version does come with a map, as is tradition. What About PC Players? While the wait for GTA 6 is finally coming to a close, with just one month left to go, PC players will have to wait a bit longer. But, thankfully, it might not be as long as many had assumed. A recent report suggests that Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch during Q1 2027, meaning that it may arrive before March 31, next year. This allegedly comes from industry sources close to Rockstar's plans, so it's worth taking with a grain of salt. GTA 4 took eight months to launch on PC, Red Dead Redemption 2 took 13 months, and GTA 5 took 19 months, so a four-month gap would be a historic low for the company. An even quicker turnaround than L.A. Noire, which arrived on PC after just six months. Then again, with the rapid advancements in PS5 emulation, who knows what'll happen in the next few weeks? Regardless, we'll finally be visiting the alligator-infested swamps of Leonida in exactly one month.
